Diversity Magazine, a publication aimed at weaving the beauty of the multicultural tapestry of Canada through harmony and innovation, is now with thousands of readers across the Greater Toronto Area. It was launched under the distinguished patronage of His Worship Frank Scarpitti, Mayor of Markham, Canada’s newest city, on Thursday, November 15 2012, at Markham Civic Centre.

Diversity Magazine is released bi-monthly via Blue Boxes on the streets, TTC, GO, other transit stations, shopping centres, car dealerships, newcomer centres, city halls, media outlets, hotels, airports, health, recreational, community and entertainment centres, universities, colleges, events and other strategic locations. Business, non-profit and public sector leaders as well as other individual and bulk subscribers also receive copies.

“With commitment to harmony, Diversity Magazine shares insights drawn from our diverse roots and provides innovative solutions to transformation challenges,” says Cynthia Kenth, the Editor. The mission of Diversity is to inspire success; transform lives; empower individuals, businesses and organizations; showcase our heritage; celebrate excellence in leadership and enterprise, as well as integrate success stories of immigrants, Aboriginals and other constituents of Canadian society.

“We celebrate Diversity Magazine because it brings together communities and showcases harmony and innovation,” says Mayor Scarpitti. The premiere issue boasts CBC Television’s Anne-Marie Mediwake and Dwight Drummond on the cover, while featuring recipients of the 2012 Diversity Awards, the Top 25 in Diversity list, stories on public affairs, corporate values and individual achievements that are worthy of emulation by Canadians and the world.
